Hi! I'm Sandra, a wedding photographer serving the St. Louis area, recovering designer, wife, twin mom, and life-long nerd. On any given day, you can find me chasing my little boys, (yes, they're identical!) writing or editing on my laptop, or watching sci-fi shows on the couch with my husband.
I find the best way to foster the connections that result in those genuine images is to invest in people over things. Coming alongside my clients to help them have the best wedding possible means more to me than gear and gadgets, because, as Maya Angelou said, "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel."
My boyfriend of 3 years had finally proposed! At the time, I was working my first desk job out of college that wasn't very, shall we say, intellectually stimulating. I found myself daydreaming while reading wedding style blogs, surfing Pinterest, and getting sucked head first into this beautiful, perfectly coifed wedding world. I knew next to nothing about planning a wedding but was determined to learn as I went. Along the way, I found myself wondering how things could be done differently to better serve brides on their wedding day.
My family has grown as well as my business. However, the experiences I had as a bride still shape the foundation of my business; keeping my processes convenient for my clients while providing outstanding services with personal touches that come from a relationship built on trust. It was this approach that earned me The Knot's Best of Weddings award in 2017 and again in 2019, and continues to earn my clients' kind words.
