When I first met with Taylor and Ryan to discuss their wedding plans almost a year ago, it was an instant connection. As they told me their vision for a modern romantic wedding, I knew it was something I wanted to shoot. When I told them about my style and how I approach the big day, they totally got my vision. In a word, we clicked! These two are bubbly, funny and kind and I was so happy to be able to capture that personality on their wedding day!
Their First Look was right down the street from their venue; an old church, struck by lightning fifteen years ago. Its remains are encased in climbing ivy and held up by massive supports. (Safety first! I never take my clients to dangerous locations. Always be sure a building is secure before entering.)
Have I mentioned how much I love first looks? *Sigh* 🙂
Being whiskey enthusiasts, Ryan and Taylor shared a pre-wedding glass of Jack Daniels Single Barrel, neat. They also included a whiskey ceremony in lieu of a unity candle during the wedding.

Fun Fact: Ryan has a set of pipes on him and is a member of an A Capella group. Go check out their site! I’ll wait… Anyway, Ryan wrote and performed an original song for his proposal to Taylor, and performed it again during their ceremony. Everybody cried. Everybody.

Thanks again, Ryan and Taylor, for having me as a part of your day! You guys are the best.
