Shaun and Miranda’s St. Louis wedding exuded the charm unique to this city. Both romantic and intimate, yet also fun and spectacular, and plenty of baseball!
Miranda met Shaun through mutual friends in college at SEMO (my alma matter, it just so happens!)
Six years and three degrees later, the two have cultivated a beautiful dynamic of give-and-take, each providing strength to compliment the other. Miranda setting Shaun’s nerves at ease over the schedule of the day. Shaun giving thoughtful and personal (and Harry Potter themed) gifts to make Miranda feel known and loved. It’s enough to make this muggle tear up.
This isn’t the first time I’ve had Shaun and Miranda in front of my camera; their Busch Stadium engagement session was a total home run! Please forgive my terrible baseball puns.
When I joined Miranda and the girls, they were finishing up hair and makeup at the Hyatt with a breathtaking view of the Arch. The guys were just a few floors down getting spiffed up.
From there we were off to the Butterfly House in Faust Park for the ceremony. Though the day was filled with showers, it was as if the weather got the memo for all the best parts of the day. No rain from ceremony to first dance. We took full advantage by fitting in as many shots around the arch grounds and courthouse as possible!
Of course, what would their wedding be without their fur babies??
The Harry Potter details made my nerd heart happy.
Miranda and Shaun: First of all, thank you so, so much for inviting me along on your wedding day. It was truly my honor. Second, your romance is beautiful and so are you. Go do great things together!
