There are a few gracious people in this life that work to make people around them feel at ease. Ashley is truly one of those special individuals. No wonder she’s a therapist! And it plays an integral part in her meeting of James. Scene: A busy bar. Ashley, an outgoing and vivacious individual, was out with her friends. James, less outgoing, was dragged along by friends. Ashley saw James being wallfower-y and took it upon herself to make sure he wasn’t lonely. It didn’t matter if he was a complete stranger. Just that he looked like he could use some company.
10 years later…
After ups, downs, long distance, cross country moves, two cats, multiple degrees, and a lot of iced coffee later, James and Ashley are finally getting married!
The stormy forecast heading into Saturday had everyone on edge, but the weather ended up being dry and cool! We started at the hotel for some quick getting ready shots before heading to the Chapel in New Town, St. Charles. After the ceremony we had some time for portraits on the picturesque canal. We also found an amazing red phone booth and I couldn’t resist some images with it. Couples portraits are my favorite part of the day so it was hard for me to stop and head to the reception, but I take my timelines seriously and we arrived at the New Town Event Tent with time to spare. Be sure to scroll to the end for a SPECIAL guest appearance. (Thanks to Dunkin Donuts!)
Ashley and James, I have been so blessed to be on this journey with you! I’m a little sad it’s over, to be honest! But I’m so happy for you and I can’t wait for your next adventure to unfold!
