There is an abundance of options for beautiful venues in the St. Louis area. One might call it a blessing, but to a newly engaged couple just starting their planning process, it can be overwhelming at best. If you’re all about prioritizing your sanity over table settings, then this list of venues will speak to you where you’re at. These St. Louis wedding venues are vendors you can trust to minimize your stress throughout the planning process.
Haue Valley is located just west of Eureka, a short drive out of the city and well worth it! Haue Valley is a century+ old working farm loaded with charm, and its dedicated event space can hold 200 guests. A unique part of Haue Valley, and why they are a stress-free venue, is their extensive “Something Borrowed” inventory of table decor, linens, displays, and more available to use on your day and included with the venue! You can even pick from their pre-arranged centerpieces and cross that whole thing off your to-do list! And if that’s not amazing enough, the caring staff hosts monthly open house nights, where Haue Valley brides and grooms can come to plan & prepare, take engagement portraits, and more!

The Stone House of St Charles is the largest capacity venue on this list at 400 dinner guests, so if you have big guest list, forget about fretting over who to cut! This venue includes a complimentary house DJ service, saving you another step in your planning. Owners Ruth and Mike work hard to provide an elegant and all-in-one wedding venue, with tons of Victorian-inspired renovations and details. (My personal favorites are the balloon chairs.) Be sure to check out their decor inventory as well, and let the staff do all the setup (and teardown) for you!

Frequent patrons of historic Lafayette Square will be familiar with SqWires Restaurant. Their claim to fame being “fresh takes on American fare” is working out for them, as noted by their packed dining room every weekend. What you may not know is that you can host your wedding in SqWires’ Annex, an industrial-vibe venue for up to 150 dinner guests, and fulfill your foodie fantasy with SqWires’ catering for the day. Moreover, they will work with you to customize a menu to meet any dietary requirements you have.

New Town, a planned community in St Charles, hearkens back to an age where neighborhoods were close-knit, you could bike to the local shops to pick up whatever you needed, and you waved to every passerby on the way. All that picturesque charm can be the backdrop to your wedding day, starting at the New Town Chapel. The chapel is a perfect mix of modern conveniences and vintage elegance and seats 250 guests for a traditional church wedding. Follow that up with your reception at the permanent event tent less than a block away. Guests don’t even have to move their cars! And neither do you, for that matter, because New Town hosts picturesque backdrops at every turn. That means you don’t have to travel all over the city in a bus, or keep your guests waiting for hours, to get amazing portraits.

So maybe tradition isn’t your thing and you think quirky is a badge of honor? That’s cool, because this next venue should definitely be on your radar. Jefferson Underground is a one-of-a-kind venue in the heart of St. Louis city, featuring recovered and repurposed materials in just about every facet of the place, celebrating the creativity of local craftsmen and women. The rooftop venue can seat up to 250 guests for outdoor or indoor festivities (with secure parking for 70 vehicles!) It’s hard to beat that rooftop view, though. And who doesn’t love dancing under the stars?
