Heather and Michael’s wedding took place on the most perfect fall day you can imagine, and it included some of the best spots in St Louis as stops on our tour. The day started at the Moonrise Hotel (in the Vincent Price Suite!) with getting ready.
Fun fact: You can wear comfortable shoes if you want to. 😉 Heather opted for dance heels because she’s smart AND classy. They looked classic and elegant with her gown, too!
The ceremony was held at the Jewel Box in Forest Park. This place is an art deco icon in St Louis and hosts garden-style weddings year-round. It was a perfect backdrop for Heather and Michael’s vows.
After the ceremony, we went to the Victorian footbridge in Forest Park and Washington University campus for photos. And I finally got a chance to show off Heather’s gorgeous cape! I have to say, this was the first time I’d seen a bridal cape in action and I’m 100% on board now. All the drama of a cathedral veil, none of the hair pulling.
Then we were back to the Moonrise Hotel for the reception. Spotlight on that vintage cake topper: It was Heather’s grandmother’s topper and was over 60 years old!
A final farewell to the happy couple had to include a rooftop shot. 😍 Heather and Michael, I am so glad I was there to capture your wedding day, and I wish you a lifetime of happiness.
